Posted by The Bureau of Fisheries conducts hundreds of fisheries surveys throughout the state each year. Over the past few years, our Fisheries biologists have started summarizing these survey results in a succinct format. These fisheries technical briefs offer a glimpse into key findings while providing an interpretation of the study. Fisheries has added 150 new technical briefs to their website recently, so take some time to look over the briefs and learn something new about your next fishing destination.
The briefs are arranged by DEC region and contain summaries of warm and cold water fisheries in lakes, ponds, streams and rivers throughout New York State.
